“Hike in milk pouch price by ₹2/l”—Amul and Mother dairy
Dairy cooperative Amul and Mother Dairy announced a price hike of ₹2 per liter for its retail pouch milk across markets in the country.
The price rise is due to a hike in varied input costs and farm prices.
The mother dairy products will have a 500 ml pouch of full cream milk will now cost ₹31, while toned milk will cost ₹26 per pouch of 500 ml, while double toned and cow milk will cost ₹23 and ₹27 respectively.
As per revised prices, a 500 ml pouch of Amul Gold milk will cost ₹31 in Gujarat markets, while Amul Tazaa and Amul Shakti variants will cost ₹25 and ₹28 per 500 ml respectively.
The revised prices will be made effective from August 17 across all markets where Amul sells its milk products including Gujarat, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and West Bengal, among others.

Seed funding was raised by IBISA Agri. start-up
IBISA a Luxembourg-based start-up that builds distributes, and operates climate insurance solutions for agriculture stakeholders has raised seed funding from Ankur Capital.
Founded in 2019, IBISA started its operations in India with the DHAN Foundation to provide parametric insurance against drought coverage in Tamil Nadu.
A statement said IBISA is scaling its operations in India with operations in Odisha, Karnataka, and Telangana for coverage against excess rainfall, excess wind speed, and drought.
“Suspension of 10 pesticides to help basmati exports”— Punjab
The Punjab Government has suspended the use of 10 pesticides for 60 days in the State to ensure that Basmati rice exported from the country does not have excess pesticide residue.
According to the State government’s order, the sale, stock, and distribution of Acephate, Buprofezin, Chloropyriphos, Methamidophos, Propiconazole, Thiamethoxam, Profenofos, Isoprothioland, Carbendazim and Tricyclazole have been barred from August 12.
